Chronology of cameras Bellieni
This stereoscopic camera was presented to the Société Française de Photographie by Bellieni on February 2, 1900. It allows capturing two images sized 8 x 9 cm and is primarily constructed with wood. The front face, made of metal, can be vertically shifted up to 17 mm. The camera's bulkiness is attributed to the non-detachable magazine that holds 12 plates.
Focusing is achieved from 1.5 meters to infinity using a dual helical ramp controlled by two levers at the bottom of the front face. The viewfinder consists of an eyepiece with compensating glass and a concave sight. The eyepiece moves vertically on a graduated ruler depending on the vertical shift. A pendulum on the viewfinder's front ensures horizontal alignment and complements a spirit level.
The shutter is armed by turning the small concentric lever to the left of the speed selector. Speeds are marked from 1 to 5, and a two-position adjustment allows choosing between instantaneous and long exposure.
This particular unit bears the serial number 19 and is equipped with Carl Zeiss Protar lenses, 8/110 mm, numbered 62094 and 62111.
